Steps to take for migrating data from the EUR network shares to Yoda

Note: Assuming you requested a Yoda workspace through your faculty data steward before you can continue with the steps below. Contact your faculty data steward for help!

There are two ways to store data in Yoda.

A. Migrating with use of the web interface (https://erasmus-yoda.irods.surfsara.nl)

  1. Select source location (directories and files)
  2. Go to your research workspace
  3. Click the Upload button
  4. Click the Metadata button and fill in the necessary metadata fields, when done click the save button at the bottom of the form.

B. Migrating with use of the network drive

  1. Select directories and/or files and copy them (CTRL+C)
  2. Go to your research workspace in the network drive
  3. Copy your directories and/or files to the network drive research workspace (CTRL+V)
  4. Log into Yoda and follow steps 2 – 4 from the steps below at B. Working with Yoda through the web interface.

Note:
The networkdrive is natively available in Windows. Before you can start migrating data with the networkdrive you need to have a research workspace which you are member of. Alternatively, you could use a WebDAV client like Cyberduck for migrating data.
