Before you can start with Yoda it is necessary to request a research workspace in Yoda. This can be done by filling in the intake form or asking your faculty data steward for help. Once the workspace is created - usually within a few working days - you will be notified about it via email.
Login on to the Yoda Portal
Once a workspace is created for you, simply use your organizational email address to login on the Yoda portal. The login screen will redirect you to the SURFConext web portal where you can select the institute you work for. After selecting the institute, you will be automatically authenticated and redirected to the Yoda website.
Working with Yoda
You can access Yoda in two ways: through the website portal and via a network drive (more information: Getting started with the network drive) in your file manager or client software. More information can be found on this web page: Getting started with the network drive.
In the web portal you can:
- arrange who gets access to your data (see Managing groups, users and access rights);
- store data, add metadata, and send data to the vault for archiving. You can upload (via drag and drop) and download files, although this might be slower than using Yoda as a network drive.
Need help?
If you need help, contact your faculty data steward or send an email to the IT Service Desk.
In addition, you can contact the Yoda admin (frans.vanderzijde@eur.nl) for more technical support.
More information can be found on the Surfsara Wikipage.
