About ACEI

23rd International Conference on Cultural Economics

The Association for Cultural Economics International (ACEI) and its academic Journal

The Association for Cultural Economics International (ACEI) is a membership organisation that brings together a diverse range of scholars and practitioners from around the world that share an interest in research about the economic aspects of the arts and culture. The methods and approaches used in research are not strictly limited to economics, and the Association welcomes contributions from a range of disciplines that facilitate a better understanding of economic, business, social and policy aspects related to the arts and culture, and more in general cultural and creative industries.

The Association also publishes the Journal of Cultural Economics (Home | Journal of Cultural Economics (springer.com)).

The Association is committed to generating impact by increasing access to cultural economic materials for the general public, for instance through its Economists Talk Art Blog, founded in 2015 to promote the dissemination of research-based policy analysis and commentary by cultural economists. Posts are published twice a month and serve increasingly as an accessible way to get an overview of what is being discussed in the field.

ACEI Conference

The ACEI conference is one of the oldest conferences in the world around the arts and culture in the social sciences. It is also one of the most inclusive and diverse major events in economics, attracting many speakers, methods, and contexts.

Erasmus University Rotterdam is proud to host this conference celebrating 50 years of collaboration in the academic field.
