Windows users can also use WebDrive to access their data via the Yoda Network Disk, as an alternative to the native WebDAV client. With WebDrive the Yoda Network Disk can be connected via as a drive in Windows Explorer.
Note that you should always disable caching in WebDrive!
Using WebDrive
Start Webdrive from the Desktop icon or the Start menu.
In the initial Window click +.
Click WebDAV.
- Enter WebDAV Yoda in the Connection Name field.
- Enter https://erasmus-data.irods.surfsara.nl in the Server Address field.
- Enter the Username (an emailaddress).
- Enter the data access password in the Password field.
(Note: Create a data access password from the Yoda Website)
- Choose a drive letter (example: Y).
- Deselect all checkboxes except “Browse this drive after connecting”.
WebDAV settings tab
- Click open the WebDAV and open the Certificate Settings tab.
- Check “Automatically accept the server certificate”.
Cache settings
- Deselect Cache files
Leave all other settings as they are.
Advanced Settings
- Deselect Cache temporary Microsoft Office files
- Deselect Quota enable (queries server for free space)
- Set Connection limit to 10
- Set Number of times to retry a failed transfer before giving up to 0
- Select TLS 1.3
- Select Make drive available to all users and services on this computer
Click the arrow icon to go back to startscreen.
In the startscreen click the disk icon to create the WebDAV Yoda drive.
A new window should now appear showing the contents of the YodaDrive. The workspaces you are member of are now shown in the window.
