Since 1 January 2024, EUR has had a framework agreement with Kinly, a global system integrator for audiovisual solutions. Kinly is responsible for the functional and/or technical design, procurement and delivery, configuration and programming of simple and comprehensive audiovisual systems, audiovisual products and the installation of individual components. EUR always remains in control.
Which services are involved?
The agreement covers everything concerning moving image and sound:
- Design and integration of audiovisual facilities
- Creation of animations, video recordings, subtitles and promotional videos.
- Events: preparing, hiring, organising and deploying audiovisual facilities during events. Hiring contracts under the direction of EUR, requesting and preparing sound and image communication, image and sound technicians and design and implementation.
- Sales audiovisual equipment & systems
- Rental of individual audiovisual items
- Sound and visual communication: animation and graphic techniques, (3D) motion design, documentary techniques, recording techniques, testimonials, studio recordings, outdoor recordings, subtitling, streaming, broadcasting, holography, AR, VR and hybrid forms of these.
- Hiring of Project Manager (AV), Project Support Officer (AV), Video Designer (motion graphics, animations), Sound Technician, Director, Switching Technician, Camera Technician, Audio and Video Editor, AV Technician, Installation Technician, Solutions Architect, Project Engineer, PA Technician, Media (field) Support Officer.

Would you like to use new or existing audiovisual techniques and/or resources? Then contact the Media Support Center. They will refer you to the right contacts and guide you where necessary to find the right solution.
Process:
- All requests can be made by emailing the MSC Helpdesk (helpdeskmsc@eur.nl) with the following information:
- Dates and times when the service is needed
- Location(s) where the service is needed
- Budget number
- Description
- If necessary, an intake will be scheduled by MSC.
- MSC Helpdesk makes a request to Kinly where necessary.
- A quotation is provided for approval to the applicant.
- The order is issued by Purchase Order (procurement guidelines 2020) .
- For simple and/or single orders, there will be a Purchase Order (PO).
- For complex / multiple contracts, there will be a Further Agreement (NOK) and a Purchase Order (PO).
- Prices are market conform, through agreed prices, rates and mark-ups. No order costs are charged. The client retains the right to test the price against the market.
- We like to think along with you, also about 'smart' purchasing, e.g. via graduated prices, managed on-site orders, etc.
There is no framework agreement for renting event venues off campus. Do you need audiovisual facilities off campus? Then make use of the AV framework contract. The Media Support Center can help you translate your requirements into a functional AV request.
List of preferred suppliers
The agreement with Kinly is also about providing services and hiring AV professionals. Together with a number of stakeholders, a list of preferred suppliers for content creation and AV specialists has been compiled, making hiring easier by working with a pool of freelancers. Why this agreement?
As a public-law institution, Erasmus University has an obligation to tender. In recent years, the use of audiovisual facilities in the broadest sense of the word has increased significantly at EUR. Therefore, a tender process was started for a system integrator for audiovisual facilities. The cooperation with Kinly allows EUR to better meet the needs of students, employees and visitors. By organising all AV at a central location, we can easily identify what needs to be purchased, where savings opportunities exist and what we can possibly scale down.
