'Parking policy has an impact on quality of life'

Dr. Giuliano Mingardo, Erasmus UPT, Centre for Urban, Port and Transport Economics explains in the Dutch newspaper Volkskrant (article ā€˜Less parking without protest, it is possibleā€™, January 3, 2019) that parking policy is an essential instrument in creating a pleasant living environment (within) cities.

Giuliano Mingardo: "This article shows the need for cities to think carefully about how they want to organise parking in the public space. Parking is becoming a big problem in cities due to the pressure on the housing market. It is essential for cities to tackle this problem because it effects the long term liveability in our cities!"
