Biography
Reinette Sluijk is the co-founder and Programme Manager at the Erasmus Commodity & Trade Centre that is founded with support of 13 industry partners: Cargill, Vitol, Cefetra Group, STX, Interfood Group, Shell Trading Rotterdam, COUNT Energy Trading, VARO Energy, Eneco Energy Trade, ING, Trefoil, Rabobank, Garanti BBVA International. She teaches in the Introduction to Commodity Trading and Supply Networks elective given at the RSM. She is programme manager of the Executive Programme Leadership in commodity Trade and Supply Networks that is run 1,5 weeks in Netherlands, 1 week at the J.P. Morgan Centre for Commodities and Energy Management and 1 week at the Singapore Management University. Expertise

- Executive Programme Leadership in Commodity Trade & Supply Networks
Leadership in Commodity Trade and Supply Networks is a unique international executive programme. It is the only programme that will take you to three continents, and is designed for the business and with the business. It is interdisciplinary in scope, and focuses on interactive and reflexive learning in developing leadership skills and strategic thinking. Erasmus University Rotterdam produces the programme in partnership with the International Trading Institute of the Singapore Management University and the J.P. Morgan Center for Commodities at the University of Colorado Denver Business School.
Duration: 3,5 weeks every year
Client: Participants are professionals from the commodity trading industry with approximately 10 years of experience moving up in the organization. They come from different backgrounds: trading, risk, operations, finance.
- RSM Elective Introduction to Commodity Trade and Supply Networks
The aim of the course is to introduce students to the world of physical commodity trading, explaining the mechanics of commodities trade (trading, risk management, finance, shipping) and the dynamics that shape the future of the industry.
Duration: 10 weeks every year
