Prof. Dr. A.W. Veenstra is professor in International Trade and Logistics at the Rotterdam School of Management, and Senior Program Manager at UPT BV, at Erasmus University Rotterdam. Until December 2021, he was scientific director of TKI Dinalog – the research financier of the Dutch Topsector Logistics. Before that he was senior consultant at TNO and assistant professor at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam.
He has extensive experience in international transport and global logistics related research and project work. Albert has particular expertise in international shipping, shipping economics and international trade and customs. Albert is currently academic director of the MSc in Maritime Economics and Logistics, and the MSc in Custom and Supply Chain Compliance. He conducts research in the field of global logistics, customs supervision and ship operations.
