As a university, we are familiar with the topic of development and recognize its importance. We stimulate you to have an active role in shaping your career and help you develop yourself in the direction you want to take. We do this by creating an environment where you can learn optimally and offer a broad range of training programs for you to deepen or broaden your knowledge. Your manager and our TOP-team can offer you personal guidance to define your next step and help you achieve it.
Great Place to Grow
Learning and development is of great importance, both for the organisation and for the employee. We therefore invest in our employees and offer them opportunities to invest in themselves. The L&CC wants to contribute to this by promoting a culture of learning and a safe working climate at EUR, thus making it ‘A Great Place to Grow’.

Training & education
Taking part in training programs is essential to keep your knowledge current and continuously develop yourself. Our Training and Development Platform (TOP, or Training- en OntwikkelingsPlatform in Dutch) is there to do just that. It offers various training programs to help you grow as a person and as a professional. Curious what training best suits you? Take a look at our complete overview. External training or education with EUR funding is often an option as well, in consultation with your manager.
Development days
As an EUR employee, you are entitled to two days each year to be used for your development. Our focus is on sustainable development and ensuring the right balance between support and challenge in your role. Together with your manager you can determine the best way to spend your development days.
Personal Career Budget
Do you have a training program in mind you would like to attend? All EUR employees are entitled to €500 annually to be spent on products or services that they consider essential to their development. In consultation with your manager, department funds can also be made available for programs that directly contribute to your performance in your current role or any role you may occupy in the nearby future.
