She researches real estate development, financialization, and the commodification of land within the context of liberalization. In the professional world, Anitra has done various roles within diverse sectors ranging from real estate consulting, housing finance, policy research, and urban planning.

Beyond her academic roles, she is a prominent figure in the global academic community.
Dr Dr Lasse Gerrits
Lasse Gerrits has more than 10 years of experience in the field of public administration. His research interests include complexity sciences, governance, infrastructure development and socio-technological evolution. He is currently the Academic Director of IHS, Erasmus University.
Together with its partners IHS works at the forefront of urban development. IHS advises local and national governments on urban issues, trains public works officials, contributes to the global Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) discussion and much more. IHS works with global leaders in the field of urban development, including UN-Habitat, Cities Alliance and ICLEI.
