Biography
Daniela García-Caro Briceño is a PhD researcher for the Initiative on the Dynamics of Inclusive Prosperity in the Department of Law and Markets, Erasmus University Rotterdam. Daniela Garcia-Caro’s academic background includes a MSc. in Sustainable Development from Uppsala University, and current participation in Universidad de La Laguna's master in Agroecology, Food Sovereignty, Urban Ecology and Rural Development Cooperation. Her research interests can be summarized in the sustainable transformations of food systems and bridging the gaps between food system research, practice, law and policy. The topic of her PhD is ‘Agribusiness and Sustainable Alternatives’, which aims to explore the role of law in sustainability transitions of food systems. Her project focuses on the identification of legal and regulatory stumbling blocks to an agroecological Europe and the future courses of action to enable transformative change.Erasmus School of Law
