Timo Peeters Wins Dissertation Prize Foundation Praemium Erasmianum

Timo Peeters has won the Dissertation Prize of the Praemium Erasmianum Foundation, consisting of €3,000 and a certificate. For this prize, intended for young researchers who have completed an outstanding dissertation in the field of Humanities, Social Sciences or Law, 32 dissertations were nominated this year, from which five winners were chosen.

Timo Peeters defended his PhD thesis at Erasmus School of Law on 19 November 2021, which is titled The Unseen. Withdrawal and the social order of violence in Guatemala City, supervisors: Prof Rene van Swaaningen and Prof Richard Staring. He is now working as an Assistant Professor at Leiden University.
