On 28 April Jeroen Temperman delivered a keynote speech at the international conference entitled “Professional Training of Judges and Prosecutors: the Council of Europe approach”, organized by the Council of Europe, in Minsk (Belarus).
His speech focused on professional legal training to combat violent extremism and radicalization. The conference was further intended to reflect on the necessary methodology of legal education and training offered by the Council of Europe under its HELP programme and to explore further cooperation with national training institutions from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Ukraine, all of whom were present at the meeting.
