International Arbitration and Business Law (IABL) student Ratu Wulandari has published her first academic article titled ‘If Not Now, Then When? The Significance of CISG Ratification for Indonesia’ in the Jurnal Hukam Novelty.
Ratu’s research discusses the United Nationals Convention on Contract for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) and recommends Indonesia to become a party to this convention. The article first briefly discusses some important aspects of the CISG, followed by explaining Indonesia’s position and identifying the benefits Indonesia’s ratification of CISG would bring. By clearly explaining the beneficial commercial impacts of ratifying CISG for Indonesian trade, the article recommends Indonesia to become a party to the CISG.
