EMLE receives Erasmus Mundus recognition for fourth time

Nieuws

Earlier this month, Erasmus School of Law learned that its EMLE (European Master in Law and Economics) programme has once again been selected as an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degrees (EMJMD) programme. This is a very prestigious recognition and a sign of top quality. It is the fourth time in a row that this honour has been bestowed upon EMLE.

Since the start of the Erasmus Mundus recognition scheme in 2004, EMLE was selected in 2004, 2009, 2015 and now in 2018. Each selection holds for several years. This remarkable feat means that the EMLE programme received substantial grants continuously from 2004 until now, and by this renewed selection this will continue until 2022.

EMLE graduate, teacher, and current director prof. Alessio Pacces is pleased with this outcome. ‘Yes, I am very proud of this extraordinary result. EMLE may very well be the only Master programme in Europe receiving EU support for so long. Most of this achievement owes to the EMLE team, who worked day and night on putting the Erasmus+ application together. I would like to particularly thank Ilva Putzier, Klaudyna Mikolajczyk and Wicher Schreuders for having provided invaluable input into this successful application. I hope that this news will contribute to the already high standing of the RILE as a leading centre of law and economics in Europe and worldwide’.
