Developing academic and research skills
The pre-master programme aims to teach you how to think in an academic way, training you to critically analyse historical and contemporary issues. You will also learn to write essays and research papers and acquire necessary experience in historical research methods. By the end of the pre-master programme, you will be equipped to apply your academic knowledge and skills effectively in your final paper.
Small-scale, but international
During the pre-master you will work in small groups with international students from all over the world. You have direct contact with the tutorial teachers, who will help you during your preparation for your master’s degree. This small-scale approach and, at the same time, international character with students and teachers from several nationalities, make the pre-master History a personal and diverse steppingstone to the History master specialisation of your choice.
Personal guidance
Within the pre-master History, we value personal attention and guidance. For specific questions and advice regarding the study programme, study planning, personal circumstances, studying with a functional impairment etcetera, you can contact our student advisors, on a confidential basis.
