Termination of enrolment
Relatives of a deceased student can report this in writing to the university and request deregistration. You can send your request, along with (a copy of) the death certificate and/or the funeral card, to the Enrolment, Deregistration, and Funding Team at edf.es@eur.nl.
Tuition fee refund
Deregistration is effective from the first day of the month following the date of death. For each month of the academic year after deregistration, 1/12th of the tuition fee will be refunded. Please include your bank account information in your written deregistration request so that any overpaid tuition fees can be transferred to that bank account. The university will stop automatic debits if they have been set up.
Termination of student finance
Did the student receive student finance from the Dutch government and/or a student travel product (public transport card)? If so, please contact DUO as soon as possible.
