Application fee

When applying for a bachelor programme with a non-Dutch diploma
Erasmus Statue

All students applying for a bachelor's programme with a non-Dutch diploma are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of €100. After registering in Studielink, you will receive instructions to log in to the EUR Admissions Portal. In this portal, you will be asked to complete the application fee. Only after a successful payment, you can you proceed with your application. Applications without payment will not be considered.

Keep in mind

  • A non-Dutch diploma refers to a diploma that is not part of the Dutch education system (the Dutch VWO diploma, Dutch HBO P, or Dutch HBO diploma). If you have obtained or will obtain an International Baccalaureate (IB) or European Baccalaureate (EB) in the Netherlands, it is also considered a non-Dutch diploma.
  • If you are also applying to International Business Administration (IBA) at Rotterdam School of Management (RSM) or to an International Bachelor in Economics at Erasmus School of Economics (ESE), please note that an additional, non-refundable application fee is required. The payment for these fees must be completed separately when applying.
  • If you are a current student at our university and decide to switch to a different programme, you will also be required to pay the application fee when submitting your new application through the admissions portal.
  • The application fee is non-refundable. It will not be refunded regardless of the application outcome, if the application is incomplete, or if the applicant withdraws after payment.

Important deadlines

Please keep in mind that certain programmes have a strict application deadline. In order for your application to be considered, it is essential that your application fee is successfully received before the deadline. To ensure that your payment is processed and your application can be considered, we strongly recommend submitting your application a few days in advance of the deadline to account for possible delays in the payment process.

Exemptions

When you enter the payment screen, you may request an exemption for the application fee if:

  • You already paid the application fee for another programme at Erasmus University Rotterdam for academic year 2025-2026. Note that this does not include the RSM IBA application fee or the ESE International bachelor fee.
  • You have refugee status in the Netherlands. You will be asked to send proof of your refugee status per email.

Please note:

  • Only the above-mentioned reasons are considered for exemption. All other requests for exemption will be denied;
  • We will inform you within 5 working days about our decision. Once you have received this decision, we urge you to submit your application via the EUR Admissions Portal;
  • Your application will continue after your exemption has been approved, or you have paid the application fee.

Payment methods

In this Admissions Portal, you will be asked to complete the payment through Erasmus Online Payment Service, the official payment platform of Erasmus University. You can pay the application fee of €100 by credit card (Mastercard, VISA), Maestro or iDEAL.
