Dutch language for ESE students

Nederlands - Language & Training Centre

At the request of and in consultation with Erasmus School of Economics (ESE), the Language & Training Centre organizes Dutch language courses as part of the Career skills 2021-2022.

The first courses (for Beginners) will start in October 2021. In January 2022 we will also offer a non-beginners course. The Dutch language course for non-beginners will help you to improve your knowledge of the Dutch language and culture based on everyday situations, with emphasis on reading, speaking, listening and writing skills. If you want to participate in that course, you will need to take the intake to determine your level. After the intake ESE will decide which course level will start. Since there will be only one group, participation in the intake doesn’t guarantee a place in the course.

Absolute beginners have no knowledge of the Dutch language, an intake won’t be necessary for that group.

If you plan to take part in the non-beginners Dutch language course, you will need to book an appointment for the online intake to determine your level. See the schedule below.

  • Oral test: Monday 15 November to Friday 19 November 2021, several time slots available
  • Deadline: Tuesday 9 November 2021

A Dutch intake consists of a short, 15-minute oral test (conversation with a teacher).

  • In the days following the deadline you will receive a confirmation for the intake via email. In this email we will also provide you with the Zoom ID for the meeting with the teacher.
  •  If you have any questions, please feel free to email us via ltc@eur.nl
