Biografie
Dr. Larissa van der Lugt is directeur van Erasmus Center for Urban, Port and Transport Economics (Erasmus UPT). Ze is ook een zeer ervaren adviseur, onderzoeker en programmeur van executive opleidingen. Larissa is gespecialiseerd in havenstrategie, havenmanagement en haveneconomie.
Ambitie
Larissa heeft de sterke ambitie om van Erasmus UPT een internationaal bekend expertisecentrum te maken. Waarmee zij met hoogstaand onderzoek, consultancy en executive onderwijs besluitvormers van nu en morgen helpt te excelleren.
Als onderzoeker is het haar ambitie om relevante kennis over haveneconomie zodanig in te zetten, dat gefundeerde inzichten leiden tot nieuwe concepten voor economische en strategische verbeteringen. Dit doet zij samen met andere professionals.
Onderzoek
Larissa beschikt over een grondige wetenschappelijke en praktische kennis van de haven- en maritieme industrie. Deze kennis past zij toe in:
- praktische probleemanalyses en beleidskwesties voor diverse opdrachtgevers wereldwijd,
- academische kennisontwikkeling.
Doctoraat
In 2015 voltooide Larissa een doctoraat over de strategische ontwikkeling van havenbedrijven. Ze publiceerde sindsdien een reeks academische papers over aanverwante onderwerpen.
Voornaamste onderzoeksgebieden
Larissa’s expertise is vooral gericht op de volgende onderwerpen:
• Economische organisatie en bestuursaspecten van zeehavens.
• Strategieën van havengerelateerde economische actoren.
• Economische prestaties van zeehavens.
• Havengerelateerde logistieke en transport concepten
• Investeringsevaluaties in zeehavens.
Academisch onderwijs
Larissa is de academisch directeur van het MSc-programma Maritime Economics and Logistics (MEL). Zij is verantwoordelijk voor het curriculum van het programma. Daarnaast is zij betrokken bij de programmering van diverse executive opleidingen.
Eerdere aanstellingen
Voordat ze in 2001 bij de Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam kwam, werkte ze voor het Nederlandse Ministerie van Infrastructuur en Waterstaat en daarvoor bij advies- en ingenieursbureau Frederic Harris Inc.
