Introduction

The Food & Beverage team is looking for an outgoing and flexible student assistant (SA) to join us in managing a variety of catering assignments.  We are looking for someone to be available (+/-) 16 weekly hours. 

Job description

As SA you will be responsible for welcoming our guests and providing excellent customer service. You will be responsible for taking orders, providing advice on menu items, ingredients, being a host and serving our guests. We are looking for someone who doesn’t mind a few repetitive tasks, and is accurate and detail-oriented in their work. We also expect you to be an outgoing and creative person, as the other side of the job includes event support, representation of our office at events, etc. Some concrete examples of your work include (but are not limited to):

  • Being a host
  • Setting up buffets for lunch or dinner and also clearing them 
  • Setting up (coffee) breaks for our groups and also clearing them
  • Providing operational support at events

Job requirements

Who are we looking for? 
Most importantly of all, we expect you to have a professional attitude, as you will be interacting with our students, guests and alumni. Next to that, you are very organized, you have an eye for detail and you have a very hands-on approach to work. We expect you to be able to work very independently and take responsibility for your work. 

Some requirements include:

  • You are an ambassador of the school 
  • 1 st, 2nd or 3rd year Bachelor student or pre-master and you will continue your master at RSM or Master student 
  • Able to work independently, pro-active and can show initiative
  • Flexible attitude towards work hours and assignments (this job includes occasionally working evening and weekends) 
  • You are reliable
  • Fluent in English, Dutch preferred but not required
  • You live in Rotterdam
