The Minister of Education, Culture and Science (OCW) has appointed Drs Angelique Berg to the Supervisory Board of Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR). Berg is appointed from June 1st 2024 until May 31 2028. She will serve within the Supervisory Board as member of the Audit Committee.

Berg studied Public Administration at EUR and then held various roles as Advisor and Director at the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport, Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of VROM, among others. Currently, she is Director General of the Dutch Central Bureau for Statistics (CBS).

'I am very pleased with my appointment to the Supervisory Board of Erasmus University. I graduated from Erasmus myself 31 years ago; I think back to that time with great pleasure. Knowing that an incredible amount has changed in those 30-plus years makes the appointment challenging. I look forward to working with my colleagues on the Supervisory Board and with the Executive Board,' Berg said.

'With Angelique Berg, we have found an excellent supervisor who will use her expertise as a member of the Audit Committee. We look forward to working with Angelique with full confidence,' said Jaap Winter, chair of the EUR Supervisory Board.
