Professional Services Award for Nicky van Oosten
Arie Kers

Out of no less than 11 nominees, Nicky has been chosen as the winner! Nicky was presented with the prize by Vice President Ellen van Schoten on behalf of the Executive Board during the Professional Services Day lunch festival on 27 June.

All of the university's non-science staff fall under Professional Services. Without these services, the university does not run. That's why they deserve to be put in the spotlight. The services ensure that academics and students can do their best.

Besides that Nicky is also very sporty, running several international (half-) marathons including the Rotterdam one wearing an Erasmus shirt. His enthusiastic participation in all EUR sports activities has led to Nicky now being the contact person for the Library. All EUR sports trainers know how to find Nicky and therefore the Library well!

The EUR Open Access Team of the University Library also nominated!

The EUR Open Access Team was also nominated for the Professional Services Award, especially for teams. Andrea Tarchi, Ava Irani and Joy Dijksman help researchers from across the university to make publications publicly available within a short period of time successfully. In addition, this team supports sometimes as many as 100 grant applications per month and constantly collaborates with other departments. An entrepreneurial team that embraces Erasmian values in all aspects.
