Not a student or employee of the EUR? You are still more than welcome to utilize the services in the University Library. Below you will find an overview of the possibilities.
A small segment of the library collection is available for consultation in the library. The largest part is stored in an enclosed area. In order to view a certain book, report or journal, you must request it a day in advance before 4.00 p.m. using our application form. Please include the details of the publication, such as the title, author, year of publication and request number if available. You will find this in sEURch.
You can collect the publication the next day at the information desk (you will be notified by email when your book is available for collection). Note: you can only view the book in the University Library. Copying is not possible.
Do you also want to borrow a book besides just viewing it? You have to become a member and then you will receive a library card. To collect your library card, please show your ID to the information desk in the University Library. Payment is possible with your debit card.

In order to consult our online collection you will need a temporary EUR account. You then have access to e-journals, e-books, newspapers, legislation, jurisprudence, reference works, financial and statistical data via search engine sEURch and the subject-specific databases.
How does it work:
There are 2 places available in the University Library for this service;
Consulting online sources is possible on working days from 09.00 to 16:45 and only on reservation;
To make a reservation, call the University Library (010-4081198) on weekdays between 09.00 and 17.00 or send an email;
You will receive an email confirming the reservation and an explanation of how it works;
Report to the University Library desk at the agreed time. The staff member will ask you for your reservation and proof of identity;
After verification, you will receive a laptop with the corresponding login details;
At the end of your session, you return the laptop and we will change the login details.
Note: To access our online resources, you will use a temporary EUR account. All actions you perform on this account will be logged and can be examined upon request by a publisher or Erasmus University.
On Woudestein campus you can connect as a guest/visitor to Eduroam, the WiFi network of the EUR. You can arrange this as follows:
- On the screens in the University Library and at the Service Desk (ground floor Sanders Building) you'll find the WiFi day code . The code is also available at the information desk in the Library.
- An alternative way is to ask an EUR employee to look up the day code.
- Text the day code to the phone number +316 35 777 876
- You will receive a username and password by text message. This password is valid the whole day.
Attention: You will not have access to the online collection.
