The Tinbergen Building, located opposite the University Library (UL), is undergoing a major renovation. From Monday 17 June, the fences around the construction site will be closed, which means that passage via the Institutenlaan to the other side of campus will no longer be possible. This means that if you want to visit the library you will have to use alternative routes.
How to reach the University Library and Rotterdamsch Leeskabinet?
From Kralingse Zoom station and Burgemeester Oudlaan, you can reach the UL and Leeskabinet as usual via Collegelaan.
If you come from Erasmus Plaza, on the south side of the campus, there are two options:
- Via the Erasmus and Theil Buildings, the library can be reached via the entrance on the skybridge.
- Via the footpath along the E and G Buildings (the turtle route on the map) and via the Collegelaan to the main entrance. This route crosses the construction road on the Sportlaan. Passing construction traffic may cause a few minutes delay.
Signage will be installed to clearly indicate the routes.
Psst! Next to the G Building is a shortcut between the library and the pond.
