Do you need to learn Spanish for your future career? Are you going to study or do an internship in Spain or Latin America? Or would you simply like to make yourself understood during your next trip? The Language & Training Centre (LTC) will help you get there!

Please note: would you like to start a non-beginners course? You have to take an intake first!

If you plan to register for a non-beginners language course, you will first need to do an intake to determine your level. This short, oral intake is designed to determine your course advice. This test costs €5,- and the result can only be used to register for a Spanish course. If you need a level statement, you need to do a language assessment.

Registration deadline is 14 December

A language assessment Spanish is an extensive test that covers all language skills: reading, listening, writing and speaking and will determine your language proficiency. When all results have been processed, you will be given a statement with your current level of both your oral and written skills. 

Registration deadlines are 7 November 2024 and 9 January 2025

During this course you will learn the basics of the Spanish language, with emphasis on reading, speaking, listening and writing skills in an everyday context. A Spanish A1 course consists of ten weekly sessions of 2,5 hours each. The final exam takes place after the course on a predetermined date. You will have covered one course level by the end of this course.

  • If you mother tongue is Italian, Portuguese or Romanian we advise you to do a Spanish intake

This course is a continuation of the course Spanish A1. During this course you will continue with the previously learned topics of the Spanish language, with emphasis on reading, speaking, listening and writing skills in an everyday context. A Spanish A2.1 course consists of ten weekly sessions of 2,5 hours each. The final exam takes place after the course on a predetermined date. You will have covered one course level by the end of this course.

Registration deadline is 12 January

This course is a continuation of the course Spanish A2.1. During this course you will continue with the previously learned topics of the Spanish language, with emphasis on reading, speaking, listening and writing skills in an everyday context. A Spanish A2.2 course consists of ten weekly sessions of 2,5 hours each. The final exam takes place after the course on a predetermined date. You will have covered one course level by the end of this course.

This course is a continuation of the course Spanish A2.2.  During this course you will continue with the previously learned topics of the Spanish language, with emphasis on reading, speaking, listening and writing skills in an everyday context. A Spanish B1.1 course consists of ten weekly sessions of 2,5 hours each. The final exam takes place after the course on a predetermined date. You will have covered one course level by the end of this course.

  • With final examination and certificate

This course is a continuation of the course Spanish B1.1.  During this course you will continue with the previously learned topics of the Spanish language, with emphasis on reading, speaking, listening and writing skills in an everyday context. A Spanish B1.2 course consists of ten weekly sessions of 2,5 hours each. The final exam takes place after the course on a predetermined date. You will have covered one course level by the end of this course.

The Spanish Conversation Course is designed for participants who want to further develop their listening and speaking skills in a dynamic class environment. In this course, we will practice both listening and speaking skills using topics that align with the participants' interests. The aim is to increase fluency and accuracy in speaking.

  • There is no final exam. You will receive proof of participation.

Registration deadline is 27 January

The Language & Training Centre also offers tailor-made courses on request for faculties, departments, students or businesses. Tailor-made can be divided into:

  • Individual

    It is possible to schedule individual classes under the guidance of an experienced teacher.
    During the intake we will discuss your aims and preferences and assess your current level.

  • Group

    We can organise courses on demand for small or large groups starting from 3 participants on up. Based on your aims, preferences, and fellow participants, a a special course will be arranged.
