Erasmus Hub! Rotterdam is a place for creative and active learning that stimulates students to work on their impact capacity and to have a positive societal impact. Stepping away from individual desks and learning from behind a screen, the Hub! fosters active attitudes, creative placing of furniture and connecting with people from all disciplines. The creative, flexible pop-up space can be formed into just the right environment for impact-driven education and engagement activities.
The Erasmus Hub! Rotterdam offers
- Space to offer activating education (all teaching of a course or parts thereof);
- Space where the furniture is flexible and can thus be switched between instruction, interaction and collaborative learning;
- Guidance and assistance in creating active working methods;
- Space for impact-driven education with activating and creative working methods (e.g. Design-based, experiential, etc.);
- Space for engagement activities and events with an impact component;
- Space for collaboration and networking events with (social) stakeholders;
- Project spaces for student groups to work on impact projects.

How to use the Hub?
The facilities of Erasmus Hub! Rotterdam are available to lecturers and support staff of Erasmus University Rotterdam who are working on impact-driven education. Would you like to organise an event, hold a lecture, brainstorm session, or another activity in the Hub? Please contact us at hub@eur.nl. Note: the activity must have a clear link to impact-driven education and community engagement.

We first assess each application to see whether it fits within the mission and vision of the Erasmus Hub! Rotterdam, before approving or rejecting it.

Need help ordering catering for your event? Then share your wishes (number of people, catering, and any dietary restrictions), and let us know which EUR Card number (linked to the WBS number) the cost may be booked on.
No costs are charged to faculties and support departments within Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR). Costs do apply to EUR BVs that use the rooms.
Erasmus Hub spaces are not available as regular meeting rooms. If your meeting is linked to an impact project, community engagement or in preparation for a design session, then this is allowed. For meetings with other purposes, please contact Event & Room Bookings.
The Erasmus Hub! Rotterdam is an educational space and cannot be reserved for drinks or dinner. Please use the other facilities on campus or check with Event & Room Bookings.

As a student, you can use the Hub for impact driven educational activities as well as projects related with societal partners to tackle societal urgencies. Contact the Hub to see if your activity fits with the hubs vision.

The temporary location of Erasmus Hub! Rotterdam is in the city of Rotterdam, placed on the south bank of the Maas and with its view on campus Woudestein on the other side of the river.
The pop-up space is in an older building and therefore lacks the presence of an elevator. For this reason, the accessibility is unfortunately very limited at this time.
The Hub offers a variety of creative materials that can be useful during design sessions, including colorful post-its, sharpies, flexible whiteboards, Legos, and more. Additionally, the Hub is equipped with TV screens, microphones, and speakers for presentations.
