Development of the honours course Communicating Sustainability in an Intercultural Context
Communicating Sustainability in an Intercultural Context is an elective for honours students. This course intends to improve understanding on the environmental, social and economic impacts of daily objects by bridging the gaps among policy making, corporate citizenship, activists’ vision, consumers’ choice and public opinion in an international setting, while accounting for different worldviews. Together with students of the Nanjing Normal University in China, this course explores the ecological, social, and economical consequences of consumption.
Goal
The themes of this course are socially responsible business, consumer choices and their consequences, and different perspectives on sustainability. We cannot survive without a sustainable future, which is why this course goes through important questions about sustainability.
