Collect signatures

In this teaching session, students do not look for the answer themselves, but for a fellow student who can give them the answer to the question. The pupil who has answered the most questions correctly wins the activity!

Step-by-step

Step 1

Before class, make up some questions with the answers. Write these questions down and bring them to class. You can make several versions with questions, but be careful; you need as many sheets as there are pupils. You can also let students make the questions, see variants, tips & tricks.

Step 2

In class, each pupil gets a sheet with questions on it (without the answers). When each pupil got their sheet, the pupils start walking around and asking each other the questions on the sheet.

Step 3

For example, if pupil A walks up to pupil B and asks her question and pupil B gives the right answer, then that pupil gets to sign the question. It is important that the answer is also written down.

Step 4

Step 3 is repeated several times so that students get several chances to give the right answer to questions.

Step 5

The student who writes down their signature (with the correct answer) most often wins!

Tip 1

The questions can be about small facts, or they can be about how to approach things. You can also let students prepare their own questions about the subject matter.
