Graduating students with walk-outs: request for re-registration in a later starting month
Are you a graduating student who wants to re-enrol in a starting month later than September? Submit a request to the examination board of your programme well in advance (at least 6 weeks before your desired starting date) for permission to re-enrol in a starting month later than September. Team In- Uitschrijven & Bekostiging (IU&B) will contact you to arrange your re-enrolment after they have received the approval from your programme. ESE and ESHPM graduates with walk-outs can contact IU&B directly for re-enrolment in a later start month and do not need to contact the programme.
Undergraduate and Master of Medicine students do not need to apply for permission to re-enrol in a later start date, but must meet certain conditions. For these conditions and the enrolment procedure, see STIP - Interim re-enrolment bachelor (erasmusmc.nl) or STIP - Enrolment and deregistration master (erasmusmc.nl).
Please note: even graduates with a walk-out who have permission to re-enrol in a later starting month must ensure that the re-enrolment is completed before the first day of the starting month
Enrolling after a study interruption
If you have temporarily interrupted your studies, for example to avoid a BSA, you do not have the option in studielink to submit a re-enrolment request. In case you want to resume your studies after an interruption, you will register as a starter in a higher year:
Follow the instructions of the step-by-step plan to re-enrol and confirm your re-enrolment application.
Go to Studielink and log in with your DigiD.
Please note: applying for a DigiD can take five working days.
Select the ''Request for registration'' button visible under My To Do list or the ''Add new registration'' link visible under ''My courses''.
Enter the training details on the ''Request for registration'' form.
Under the heading Intake moment, uncheck the box next to ''Start in the first year''.
Confirm the entered data.
If you submit an enrolment request via studielink as a starter in a higher year, you will automatically be notified that this requires permission from the programme's examination board. Contact the study advisor of your programme for advice on how to resume your studies.
Your programme will assess your request for re-enrolment after a study interruption. We advise you to contact the programme after you have submitted your enrolment request.
From mid-April, you will receive a message from us about the amount of your tuition fees and you will be able to indicate via Studielink how you will pay your tuition fees. Please note: you can no longer change the specified payment method in Studielink afterwards. Please contact the Erasmus Student Service Centre if you decide to pay your tuition fees in a different way afterwards.
For payment via digital authorisation, follow the step-by-step plan in Studielink.
If you have indicated to pay in another way, go to Payment method for more information.
As long as your enrolment request in Studielink has the status ‘request submitted’, you are not yet enrolled. This is only the case when the status of your enrolment request changes to ‘enrolled’.
Your enrolment must be completed before 1 September. Therefore, regularly check in Studielink or Osiris student the status of your registration request, the details page of your registration request and the messages you receive from us. Contact Erasmus Student Services Centre in good time if it is not clear to you why your enrolment has not yet been completed.
You are enrolled as soon as the status of your enrolment request in Studielink has changed from ‘’request submitted‘’ to ‘’enrolled‘’.
Within two weeks after the status of your enrolment request in Studielink has changed to ‘’enrolled‘’, you can download your proof of enrolment via Osiris Student. This will complete your enrolment for the selected academic year and programme (you will need to re-enrol each academic year).
In case you no longer have your old college card, you can request a new college card once free of charge via the ESSC, stating that you have interrupted your studies.
The procedural rules regarding enrolment at Erasmus University Rotterdam can be found on the website ‘Regulations, Guidelines and Regulations’ for EUR students.
