WA (Sanne) van der Valk, MSc

Biography

Sanne van der Valk is a PhD candidate at the Department of Public Administration and Sociology (DPAS). She studies the effects of (frequent and personal) meetings between caseworkers and the (long-term) unemployed on - amongst others - social and labour market activation. In addition, her research is aimed at understanding the mechanisms underlying these effects as well as the contextual factors that may be of influence. 

Research interests: Social and labour market activation, (long-term) unemployment, caseworker meetings, effectiveness studies, experimental research designs.
