Your quote of love projected on Erasmus University Rotterdam's Woudestein campus

Campus Woudestein is one of the locations of the light festival Rotterdam Verlicht! Throughout the city there will be light shows at various locations. During a special for valentine's day, texts will be projected on the buildings of Erasmus University Rotterdam's Woudestein campus. You can send in your best, sweetest or most poetic message. Perhaps this will be shown during the light festival until the end of February.

Lighting in dark times

The aim of Rotterdam Verlicht! Is to literally and figuratively 'enlighten' the city in these dark times. To give residents a helping hand and hope. Eighteen locations in Rotterdam already participate; from the Laurenskerk and the Noordplein to the Poorten van Zuid and the Euromast. And now also Erasmus University with campus Woudestein. The light messages will be projected on the Tinbergen Building. The project started in December and will continue until approximately 20 February 2021. It is the first edition of the light festival. The intention is for Rotterdam Verlicht! to recur annually.

Special event to spread love

Now that the lockdown is set to last longer, Rotterdam Verlicht! is launching a valentine's event in which everyone can participate from home. Citizens of Rotterdam can send each other a heartfelt message by means of textual light projections. Messages that you cannot deliver in person now, but as soon as it gets dark they will be brightly lit up every evening at various locations. The messages will appear in the city from 1 February.
