The number of corona patients in the Intensive Care Unit has decreased somewhat this week. However, ICU nurse and team manager Koos van der Ree Doolaard cannot yet breathe a sigh of relief.
Koos van der Ree Doolaard sees, he says, that patients are being discharged sparsely. “On the other hand, patients will be added again. It is certainly not the case that we will have the department empty here in two weeks. Of course we hope the trend continues, but it is too early to breathe a sigh of relief. We are holding a big blow; what can we expect, will there be another peak? We are not yet cheering that we have fixed this together.”
