The Community for Learning & Innovation (CLI) gives lecturers from Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR) the opportunity to apply for a fellowship. With this fellowship, they research educational innovation, or carry out an educational project.
On this page you can read more about the CLI Fellowship of Charlotte van Sassen (EMC) in which she aims to improve learning outcomes by introducing AI-driven personalized feedback in the new ErasmusArts 2030 curriculum.
This project aims to improve learning outcomes by introducing AI-driven personalized feedback in the new ErasmusArts 2030 curriculum. By providing tailored, actionable feedback, students can more effectively identify and address their knowledge gaps, improving their learning experience. Additionally, the project seeks to reduce teachers' workload by automating the feedback process, allowing them to focus on other educational tasks. In order to guide the evaluation of the AI feedback system's impact on both learning and teaching experiences, we will not only evaluate learning outcomes but also examine student perception, teacher perception, and workload. The pilot will target clinical reasoning exercises and case-based assessments, with potential for expansion if successful.
