Graduate Entrepreneur, the investment fund set up by alumni of Erasmus University Rotterdam, Erasmus MC and TU Delft, is making its 50th investment this week.

'We're growng fast', says managing partner Auke van den Hout. 'Our strength is that young founders are helped by a group of now 170 experienced successful entrepreneurs.' Three years ago, well-known alumni of Erasmus University Rotterdam, Erasmus MC and TU Delft started Graduate Entrepreneur, and the number of investments is already at fifty.

The success factor

'The combination of Rotterdam entrepreneurship, Delft’s technical expertise, and the active support of alumni investors is a successful formula for our startups', shares co-founder Frans van Houten. 'We want to apply the formula of supporting young entrepreneurs with advice, guidance, and capital on an even larger scale,” says co-initiator van Houten. "We aim for more than 100 investments over the next three years. Our goal is to double the success rates of young startups, partly through our founder programs and strong community. We are continuously looking for alumni and others who want to strengthen our network.'
