Literature review support

Researchers often start their research with a literature search, charting the research that has already been done on the subject in a 'literature review'.

The literature search must meet certain conditions, especially if you want to publish the result as a systematic review. Expert advice is then valuable.

The library’s faculty liaisons and information specialists can advise you on:

  • which databases are most suitable for searching for literature on your subject;
  • collecting relevant search terms;
  • translating a research question into a search profile, with which you can search in multiple databases;
  • exporting and managing citations.

More information

Postdocs and more experienced researchers may contact one of the library's faculty liaisons directly with any questions regarding literature reviews.

PhD supervisors and lecturers may also request literature review support from an information specialist on behalf of a research master student or PhD candidate.

Research master students and PhD candidates just starting on the literature review may request literature review support from an information specialist.
