On May 19 2020 it has been announced that a.o. the VSNU and Elsevier have formed a novel open science partnership. With this agreement, EUR researchers are given the right to publish in Open Access in a large part of Elsevier's journals.
The Association of Universities in the Netherlands (VSNU), The Netherlands Federation of University Medical Centres (NFU), The Dutch Research Council (NWO) and Elsevier, a global leader in research publishing and information analytics, have formed a novel partnership that includes publishing and reading services as well as the joint development of new open science services for disseminating and evaluating knowledge. The partnership runs until 31 December 2024.
With this agreement, EUR researchers are given the right to publish in Open Access in a large part of Elsevier's journals. A Journal Finder is available on Elsevier's site to help you find the individual journals. The VSNU has prepared an overview with Frequently Asked Questions on this deal.
