Are you a researcher, partner or coordinator in a FP7 project that has recently finished or is approaching its end-date? Your forthcoming peer-reviewed Open Access publications could be eligible for funding.
If you wish to benefit from the Open Access fund you must report your publication as soon as your publisher accepts it. However, Open Access publications that appear during the course of FP7 projects are not reimbursed under the post-grant Open Access scheme.
Conditions and funding
The EC FP7 post-grant Open Access pilot will provide funding to cover the Open Access fees for publications arising from completed FP7 projects. Only publications that are invoiced after end of the project (and are therefore not eligible for reimbursement from the project budget) are eligible for funding from this Pilot. The FP7 project should have finished, but no longer than two years ago.
For journal articles and comparable publications a maximum of €2,000 per publication is granted, for monographies a maximum of €6,000. The €2,000 maximum funding only applies to fully Open Access journal titles. Excluded are articles published in so-called ‘hybrid’ journals i.e. subscription journals in which Open Access to individual articles may be obtained on special payment of Article Processing Charges.
