To celebrate the start of the year, we (Studium Generale & ESN Rotterdam) are organising our famous Open Air Cinema! To keep those summer vibes going, we’re going on a cruise with the screening of Triangle of Sadness.
About the film
When a hugely expensive cruise ship carrying Russian oligarchs, influencers and incredibly rich pensioners falls on hard times, the traditional roles between those on board and the crew are suddenly reversed, resulting in at times hilarious situations.
Models Carl and Yaya are invited on a luxury cruise with a motley crew of wealthy passengers on board, including a Russian oligarch, British arms dealers, and a quirky, alcoholic, Marx-quoting captain. At first, everything looks like the perfect Instagram post, but a violent storm is brewing. The cruise ends catastrophically, and the couple is stranded on a desert island with a group of billionaires and a cleaning lady. In a struggle for survival, the hierarchy is turned completely upside down.
