Two years after the launch of ChatGPT, generative AI has become an integral part of many people's daily lives. Generative AI also impacts education at Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR). How do you navigate the complex and ever-changing world of AI within the context of our university? Join the discussion and gain new insights during EdUconnect 2025!
EdUconnect is the annual conference on educational innovation, organised by the Community for Learning & Innovation (CLI). Here, the EUR community of teachers, support staff, and students comes together to share knowledge, inspire each other, and translate ideas into opportunities. The theme of EdUconnect 2025 is Navigating AI in Education. Whether you have a lot of experience or have never used GenAI at all, there will be valuable insights and discussions for everyone.
Speakers
EdUconnect opens with a short speech by our Rector Magnificus, Professor Jantine Schuit. Next, CLI Academic Lead dr. Jason Pridmore discusses how the topic ‘AI in education’ aligns with the EUR Strategy for 2030.
Interactive Panel: Navigating AI Controversies Together
Following these key speakers, a student (Vera Breijer), a teacher (dr. Rob Kickert), and an AI expert (Bas Smit) present their (controversial) take on AI in education in an interactive panel. Does AI improve personalised learning and accessibility, or does it harm academic integrity and reduce essential human interaction? As a guest, you are invited to share your own opinions either live or through Menti!
Workshops
Join two of the five workshops/sessions, where enthusiastic colleagues will introduce you to their topic. Below you will find more information about the content and what you can learn. You can register directly for the session you are interested in using the registration form.
