During this CLI Lunch & Learn, you will learn more about the interesting educational innovations and research taking place at Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR) and beyond. During this edition, Rob Kickert talks about the implementation of and experiences with programmatic assessment in the Educatieve Master Primair Onderwijs.
The Educatieve Master Primair Onderwijs (EMPO) is a new 2-year Master's programme (120 EC) for academic teachers in primary education. EMPO has started in 2022, and is the first EUR programme to use programmatic assessment (PA). Within PA, the number of decisions about awarding credits to students are minimized. Therefore, decisions can be based on a rich variety of datapoints (i.e. assessments) in a portfolio. In this talk, we will share how we have implemented PA, and what the experiences of staff and students thus far have been.
