Globalization has brought people and societies closer together worldwide, but it has also widened the gap between the privileged and disadvantaged, with some enjoying the freedom to explore the world for profit and leisure while others are constrained by national borders and harsh working conditions. Digitalization has further accelerated this process. At ERMeCHS, we focus on gaining a deeper understanding of the historical and cultural aspects of globalization and examining how digital solutions can promote greater equity, safety, and well-being on a global scale.
