What does this study entail?
The step to a research university such as Erasmus University Rotterdam can be quite big. There are more reading materials, which are of higher complexity than what you might be used to. You are expected to work more independently and conduct your own research projects.
The pre-master helps you develop the skills and competences you need to pursue the master's degree. You will familiarise yourself with the most essential concepts and theories in arts and culture studies. You will then train your essential academic skills such as arguing, using sources and academic writing. Finally, you will also improve your research skills, such as setting up a research project, conducting analysis, and reporting your findings.
Is this the right programme for you?
