Study schedules

Once the course guide for the upcoming academic year is updated (middle of August). Once the study schedules have been announced you will get a clear overview of your programme and its courses.

Timetable

First-year bachelor-1 students will be registered centrally for their courses and mandatory tutorial sessions. During the Take-Off, you will receive more information with regards to your timetable and you will be able to see all your course registrations in your personal timetable. Laptop requirements

Erasmus School of Economics recommends students to purchase a laptop which meets the following criteria:

  • A laptop with webcam, charger, microphone and speaker
  • Operating system: Windows
    (this works best with statistical and optimisation software)
  • Processor: Intel i3/i5/i7/i9 of AMD Ryzen
  • RAM: minimal 8GB, for senior students 16GB is advised
  • Hard drive: minimal 256GB or 512GB if you need more space
  • Master students Econometrics, who will work on Deep Learning or Neural Networks, are advised an NVIDIA GPU

Books and supplies

Once the study schedules have been made available you can collect your study materials from the study store on campus (online purchases available too) or buy your books second hand during one of the book sales on campus or via one of the many online retailers. Your pick.

  • EFR Book sale (for Economics and Business Economics studies)
  • FAECTOR Book sale (for Econometrics and Operations Research studies)
  • Online retails (Amazon/Ebay)

Regulations

Know all the rules and regulations that belong to our School and your study programme. All these will be up to date as of the beginning of August.

Information systems

In support of education, Erasmus School of Economics uses several information systems:

  • MyEUR: the central hub to get access to most information systems.
  • SIN-Online: the system used for the registration of courses and tutorials and messages from the School.
  • Canvas: the digital learning environment for course announcements, course information and course documents.
  • Osiris: registration of official grades and enrolment for written exams.

During the introduction for first year students, the Erasmus School of Economics Take-off, you receive all required information about these systems.

It is not necessary to work with these systems before then.
