The Accounting, Auditing and Control (AAC) group at Erasmus School of Economics has rapidly developed into one of the top accounting research groups in Europe. We conduct research on diverse topics within the fields of financial, management, and tax accounting, using empirical, analytical and experimental approaches.
Our staff publishes in top accounting journals (The Accounting Review, Journal of Accounting and Economics, and Journal of Accounting Research), as well as economics and interdisciplinary journals. Our research is supported by the Erasmus Research Institute of Management (ERIM) and the Tinbergen Institute (TI).
Within ERIM, we closely cooperate with the Accounting & Control Group at Rotterdam School of Management (RSM), as the Erasmus Accounting Research Group. We regularly host seminar speakers and visitors from top academic institutions around the world. We also aim to connect our research with practice through discussions and roundtables with accounting practitioners and by incorporating our research in the AAC curriculum.
