Erasmus University has partnered with Student Housing III CV to offer rooms in a modern 7-storey student residence at Willemskade in Rotterdam. The building is ideally located in a lively neighborhood with restaurants, bars, shops, with direct access to public transport. and a great bonus: the building offers beautiful views of the Maas River.
Erasmus University Rotterdam has secured around 100 rooms exclusively for first-year international bachelor and (pre-)master students.
When?
Rooms will be published and open for booking on Monday 19 May via the KLIKenHUUR website.
How?
- Starting at 12:00 PM (noon) on 19 May, you can express your interest by filling out a form (link will be added here at that time).
- Make sure you meet the allocation criteria listed below. Students who do not meet the criteria will not receive a booking voucher.
Every Tuesday and Thursday, EUR will send out booking vouchers to students who have filled out the online form and meet the allocation criteria.
Who receives a voucher?
- Only students who meet the allocation criteria will receive a booking voucher.
- If you are not selected, you will not receive an email.
How to use your voucher?
- Your voucher allows you to book a room on the KLIKenHUUR booking website.
- Each voucher is personalized and cannot be transferred to someone else.
- A voucher can only be used once, make sure to complete your booking carefully.
Keep an eye on your inbox and act quickly once you receive your voucher.
Step 1: Register
After you have received a voucher you first need to register as candidate tenant on KLIKenHUUR by creating an account, filling in your personal details and by paying a € 35,- fee (with Credit or Debit card).
Step 2: Booking
After you have registered, you can apply for an accommodation at Studenthousing Willemskade Rotterdam that mentions “Voucher” (Rotterdam EUR). You need a voucher to apply for these rooms.
For these rooms the following applies: the first person that chooses a room and finalizes payment, will get the room. By booking a Voucher room using your voucher, you automatically book the room for the fixed rental period that is mentioned in the advertisement. Please note that it is not possible to extend or terminate your contract!
Step 3: Payment
To secure the Voucher room, you need to pay directly through the KlikenHuur website. You have to pay an amount that consists of the following:
- The rent for the first month;
- The deposit, as a warranty for the owner of € 1250,-. The deposit will be returned at the end of the rental agreement if the room is clean and undamaged;
- Mandatory amenity package of € 300,- which includes:
- Final cleaning: a cleaning at the end of the rental period;
- Complete kitchen package: This package contains all essential kitchen utensils including crockery, cutlery, plates etc.
- Complete linen package: This package contains all necessary bedding, including a pillow, duvet cover, fitted sheet and pillowcase.
Step 4: Signing the contract
After the payment is finalized, you will receive, within 2 days, a rental agreement and several attachments by email. You will be requested to sign the rental agreement, within 2 days!, digitally. After you have signed the rental agreement, the owner of the house will sign the agreement and then the rental is finalized.
Room rates
There is a large variety of rooms with different sizes and views and prices that range from between € 650,- till € 1000,-. This is an all-price which includes: furniture, utilities, taxes, internet, television etc. Registration at the municipality is mandatory for rental contracts exceeding 4 months.
Rental periods
The rooms can only be booked for a fixed rental period and the fixed rental period of 1 August 2025 – 31 July 2026. It is not possible to extend or early terminate!
Student Housing Willemskade offers fully furnished rooms, most with a private bathroom (shower, sink, and toilet). The kitchen is shared with housemates on the same floor. Each room includes a bed, desk, chair, cupboard, TV, and refrigerator.
Residents also have access to a communal bike shed and laundry facilities in the basement.
- You are going to start your first year and study at EUR;
- You don't have the Dutch nationality (a dual-citizenship including the Dutch nationality means not eligible);
- You are new to the Netherlands, you have not completed your prior education in the Netherlands, and you currently live abroad;
- You are (conditionally) accepted to your study programme;
- You are not older than 30 years.*
*If a student is 30 years old at the start of the academic year, they remain eligible. However, if they turn 31 before the academic year begins, they are not eligible.
Once you have made a complete booking it is not possible to early terminate your tenancy agreement anymore but only in case you are deciding to stop with your study at EUR and only after approval of EUR. If this is the case, please send an email to: rotterdam@househunting.nl
