Introduction
Canvas is the Learning Management System (LMS) for the EUR and provides opportunities to activate students online! In this Individual Design Lab you will learn how to design your course in the Canvas LMS using active blended learning. We will guide you with understanding, designing and applying Canvas to enhance the learning experience of your students. By the end of this module you’ve created an interactive and blended redesign of your course in Canvas, using different learning activities.

What will you achieve?
- Create a clear course structure based on modules

Target group and required prior knowledge
This Individual Design Lab is intended for EUR lecturers to redesign their own course. No specific prior knowledge is required.
Content, form and time investment
You will start with the online part in week 1, in which you will become familiar with the possibilities of Canvas and study the theory concerning blended learning. After these activities you will participate in an online individual consult in week 2, during which you will brainstorm and reflect on the learning activities that you can implement in your teaching. In week 3, remote support will be available in case you have any questions about Canvas, these will be answered by the trainers. In week 4, you will record a short video on your Canvas course which allows you to complete the Individual Design Lab. The total time investment is 15 hours distributed over 4 weeks.

Earn an Edubadge
If you made the preparation and participated in the session, you can earn an Edubadge. This is a digital, visual certificate which you can share on e.g. LinkedIn. Interested parties can immediately click on the certificate to find out what you have done to achieve the Edubadge.
