Ivo Sarjanovic

Biography

Ivo Sarjanovic has held various trading and management roles at Cargill before becoming the CEO of Alvean, the world's largest sugar trader. Since 2018, he has been a member of the board as a non-executive director at Adecoagro and Sucafina, and an advisor to the board of the Arab Bank of Switzerland.

Ivo is a lecturer on soft commodities and market intelligence at the University of Geneva and a professor of Agricultural Commodities in the Master of Finance at the Torcuato Di Tella University in Buenos Aires. Ivo holds a Master's in Economics from the Francisco Marroquin University in Spain and a Diploma in Theology from the Navarra University in Spain.

In 2022, he co-authored his latest book, Commodities as an Asset Class, with Alan Futerman, published in November 2022 by Palgrave MacMillan.
