The University Library (UB) of the Erasmus University (EUR) is looking for an Open Access officer for 0.4 FTE - 0.6. FTE (6 months) to cover maternity leave. In this role, you will contribute to the Open Access goals of the University Library:
- As part of the OA team, you support and advise researchers in the field of Open Access.
- You will work on Open Access related projects within the University library.
- You participate in a national project on Diamond Open Access that aims to realize a more inclusive and diverse publication landscape. As part of this project, you will work with a small team for the national expertise center for Diamond Open Access.
Requirements
- You have a university degree and are familiar with the scientific environment and have demonstrable knowledge of the research and publication process;
- You have an affinity with and knowledge of several aspects of Open Science;
- You are flexible and get energy from working with colleagues within a team;
- You communicate easily both professionally and collegially in English and preferably also Dutch
- You work well independently and have an open way of collaborating and coordinating.
Conditions of employment
We offer you an internationally oriented and varied job in an enthusiastic team, with excellent working conditions in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities (CAO-NU).
The start date of this position is 1 May 2025 and you will be based at campus Woudestein in the University Library. This position is for 0.4 FTE - 0.6 FTE. The salary is dependent on your experience and knowledge and ranges from a minimum of € 3.378 to a maximum of € 5.331 gross per month, Scale 10 on a fulltime basis (38 hours), in accordance with the CAO-NU. The contract is entered into for the duration of 6 months.

Library Research Support - Team Publication Support
The LRS department provides professional support to researchers through a wide range of services for the faculties. The department consists of two teams: Data Support and Publication Support. The Publication Support team contributes to the promotion of Open Science by providing information, advice and training on copyright and Open Access. The team is also responsible for managing the research information systems for EUR and Erasmus MC.
