Student Accounting and Auditing
Why did I choose Accounting and Auditing?
Currently I am pursuing my Masters’ degree in Accounting, Auditing and Control with the specialisation in Accounting and Auditing. From the three specialisations in Accounting, I have chosen for the Accounting and Auditing track, as it is the most suitable one for students who would like to follow the path to become a ‘Chartered Accountant’.
The Big Four
An advantage of this programme is that it is well-structured and each block has different approaches. It starts off with some fundamental courses and during this block, Erasmus School of Economics provides students with the opportunity to participate in skills classes offered by the Big Four audit firms. It is a great way to get to know other students and your possible future employer. This is followed by a seminar, which is challenging and more interactive, and to stimulate teamwork, there are also group assignments incorporated in the curriculum.
Extracurricular activities
What definitely gives an extra touch to the regular programme is the PwC Honours Master. In this programme, a small diverse group of motivated students are selected to participate in the extracurricular activities organised by PwC. These activities are not only informative, but also fun as we have all become good friends. This programme is highly recommended for enthusiastic and ambitious students.
